Surf Sumatra Dive Burma and Thailand Special Expeditions
The Surf

20,000 islands, 18,000 miles of coastlines, 2 million year old rainforest, hundreds of languages and dialects…this is the backdrop to our surf and dive expeditions.

From our Indo home base at Simeulue Island, Sumatra we travel to the nearby islands of Pulau Banyaks and around Simeulue Island where we surf some of the best and most isolated waves on the planet. Day after day, week after week, and month after month the southern Indian Ocean pumps out a big swell and sends it to these beautiful islands where it peels across gorgeous coral reefs forming perfect waves one after another, stacked up to the horizon, just waiting for you.

From May thru October (prime surf season Indian Ocean), Mahtab is a dedicated surf charter boat. Treasure Island and Bay of Plenty are amongst the many locations we travel to. Boat operator and guide, Scott Williams, has been traveling to the area and surfing the many outstanding waves since the year 2000.

Check out our 2007 expedition schedule for availability and booking.
